At Cyfarthfa Retail Park in Merthyr Tydfil, the Eco Learning Store is one of the first projects in the UK to feature a Transpired Solar Collector system, which harvests the sun’s heat to warm the store’s interior, cutting energy bills and CO2 emissions.

intu – LED Rollout Cuts Energy Costs and Carbon Emissions

BBP Members Use Big Data to Improve Comfort and Efficiency

The system collects data through the BMS and analyses it, producing simple graphics and tables, which help building teams identify potential operational improvements.

Savills Launches Food Waste Digesters at Princesshay

At Princesshay Shopping Centre in Exeter, managing agent Savills and asset manager The Crown Estate have installed three food waste digesters, significantly increasing recycling, cutting disposal costs for occupiers and reducing environmental impacts. Following the success of this initiative, Savills is considering food waste digester opportunities for other sites in England.
