Aberdeen Asset Management Completes Large Solar PV Installation for Biffa Waste Services
12 November 2015
The installation, comprising c.1,000 Solar Panels will provide c. 225,000 killowat hours (kWh) to Biffa Waste Services saving c.120 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually.

BBP, CREFC and GRESB Event - Real Estate Lending and Sustainability: The Case for Better Risk Management

On 5 November the BBP jointly held the industry-first event on Real Estate Lending and Sustainability: The Case for Better Risk Management, with CREFC Europe and GRESB. The successful event was held at RBS’s office at Bishopsgate from 8.30 to 10 am and was well attended by circa 90 attendees, mostly from the real estate lending community. Aviva Investors, ABN AMRO, AXA Investment Managers, Barclays, BlackRock, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Lloyds Banking, Moody’s, RBS and UBS were all among the participants.

Shaftesbury’s Sustainable Retrofit at 22 Ganton Street
11 November 2015
The project exemplifies the company’s proactive approach to asset management and commitment to the long-term sustainability of its buildings. By retaining 99% of the building’s structure and 80% of its façade, Shaftesbury significantly reduced the amount of new materials required and cut construction waste, minimising environmental impacts and generating cost savings.
