26 September 2016Canary Wharf Group recently published their latest Sustainability Report which provides a snapshot of their activities and commitments in four key areas: Making Great Places; Pioneering Innovation; Promoting Inclusive Growth; Optimising Our Performance.
Some of the highlights from this year's report include:
- 43% of Group spending was on local companies
- £2.87m total investment in community engagement projects and programmes
- Canary Wharf Group achieves GRESB 5 Green Star Rating, the highest possible
- Zero waste to landfill across CWML-managed areas for sixth consecutive year
- 100% of CWG Electricity (74.8 million kwh) from renewable sources
- 8.5% reduction in emissions over last 3 years
- Four Projects achieved FSC ® Full Project Certification
- First project ever to be awarded Considerate Constructors ULTRASITE Status
