The BBP’s Managing Agents Partnership (MAP) welcomes Gerald Eve plc as its latest member, expanding the membership to 19 leading organisations committed to improving the sustainable management of commercial property assets.

Gerald Eve is a UK-based firm of chartered surveyors and advisors, consisting of over 600 professionals across nine offices. In addition to property management, Gerald Eve's expertise covers capital markets, corporate real estate advisory, asset management, tenant representation, landlord leasing, planning and development and building consultancy, valuation and business rates services.

In 2020, the firm declared a climate emergency and set a goal of moving beyond net zero to be carbon negative for all their operations and business travel by 2030. Their 2023 Environmental Impact Report has shown a 67% annual reduction in GHG emissions, and 100% of their direct electricity and 88% of indirect electricity sourced from green tariffs with REGOs.

The MAP is thrilled to welcome Gerald Eve into an engaging community of organisations where radical collaboration drives our collective progress in improving the sustainable management and operation of commercial buildings. Together, members confront industry challenges, share critical insights, and develop industry leading tools furthering our sustainability agenda in the sector.

Sarah Ratcliffe, CEO, Better Buildings Partnership said: “Gerald Eve has already demonstrated a robust commitment to sustainability with their ambitious goal to achieve carbon negativity in both operations and business travel by 2030. We look forward to welcoming them to our membership, where they will collaborate with existing members to drive sustainable property management across the commercial real estate sector”.

Kate Morgan, Chief Operating Officer, Gerald Eve said: “We pride ourselves on our commitment to deliver for our people, clients, our communities, and other stakeholders. Sustainability needs to be integral to our work – whether we are working with property owners, investors, occupiers or developers. We recognise that prioritising sustainability is not just an ethical choice but a strategic necessity to continue to be able to shape the future. We are proud to be a MAP member and to collaborate with our peers to contribute to raising the sustainability standards for the entire industry.”
