Jane Wakiwaka
Jane Wakiwaka is Head of Sustainability at REM Ltd and is responsible for establishing REM’s sustainability strategy for the business, and for implementation across its assets under management. Prior to REM, Jane was Sustainability Director at The Crown Estate, where she set out and embedded The Crown Estate’s sustainability agenda and Net Zero Carbon Commitment across the business including the development, management, and investment of its real estate portfolio. She is an active member of the BBP, and most recently chaired the BBP’s Green Lease Toolkit working Group. She also actively participates at an industry level and has previously worked with organisations including: the BCO, REVO, BPF, UKGBC and GRESB (formerly the European Benchmark Committee Chair). She holds postgraduate qualifications in Sustainable Business and Sustainable Finance from the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainable Leadership, a Masters degrees in Climate Change Management from Birkbeck University and Urbanisation & Development from LSE, and a BA in Geography from LSE.
